In which I pursue happiness and meaning as a part-time dollmaker, full-time manager, single mom to two teen boys, living with a roommate and our combined five children and five pets in a tiny fifties ranch house! Hey- it's all good!

I love little lemon topiaries like those! I also like your canopy! How cute!
Hi Bettsi, just followed the link from Tender Arts. I'm glad you've made a good decision for you. It must have taken a lot of courage. Well done and hang in there through the rougher days.
Love the idea of blue and white mosaic. I think Monet's house in Giverny used a lot of blue and yellow together -it was a very cheerful place.
Hello Bettsi,
I just became aware of your new blog and new life circumstances today. Please let me say that I always thought a lot of you as an artist and a mom, and still do! Here's my offer of friendship and support!
Your house looks very pretty and it sounds like you'll be adding even more beauty to it!
Best wishes!
Hi Bettsi,
Here's a link for the grease spot.

Hope it works for you.
Love your topiaries! I intended to put them in front of our entry this year and didn't get it done. You're re-inspired me!
Also love the yellow and blue thing. Trying to incorporate that in my new dining room. So far, I have the wrong yellow on the walls and can't find the blue fabric for the curtains, but I'm working on it. One step at a time.
Best to you and yours,
Mary Elise

Thank you, Mary Elise! I'll be so happy to see that stain gone!
Yes, yellow and blue can be really tricky. I just painted my room in a color called Dipped In Honey and I love it! Not too vivid, not too pale- it's just right!
Hi Bettsi, I have a lemon tree, but it doesn't produce ... I just caught up on your life. I'm here for ya, gal!
Love ya!
Thank you, Sandy! I'm so glad you came by. You know I LOVE your blog and have learned so much from it.
I think your little yellow house is pretty too!! It reminds me of the yellow house we lived in when we lived in Livermore. (I see you are in Sacramento so maybe you know where that is?) We had lemon trees there too =)
Anyway, your children are also beautiful (you must be proud!) and I love your blog, too. I have all kinds of creative ideas, it's just getting my clumsy hands to make them, that is the problem. =)
